It presents an extensive set of data structures that includes those of more general use, maintaining a balance between the formal aspects and the discussion of the typical mechanisms of implementation. The practical aspects of this discussion are illustrated by its concretion in three popular programming languages: ADA 95, C ++ and JAVA. It shows a broad view of data structures in a harmonic way, with multilingualism being an important help in this regard. However, the book is set up in such a way that the reader who wishes can dispense with the comparative approach and focus on the study of data structures using the examples of one of the languages.

It contains a classification and frequency of occurrence of the irregularities of Spanish verbs, which have led to 159 conjugation models. There are 460 simple conjugations corresponding to the conjugation models and to all the verbs that admit more than one conjugation. The conjugation includes the voseo forms, normally used in Río de la Plata, and the forms of respect usted and ustedes, the latter also used in the Canary Islands and other areas on a daily and informal basis. All the conjugations are accompanied by their morphological information, their defectivity, usage notes, other verbs that are conjugated the same and, for the verbs with more than one conjugation, their meaning.

It contains a novel glossary of classification and frequency of appearance of the irregularities of Spanish verbs, which have led to 159 conjugation models. The concept of verbal conjugation model is modernized by providing the most frequent verbs that are conjugated in the same way. There are 460 simple conjugations corresponding to the conjugation models and to all the verbs that admit more than one possible conjugation. The conjugation includes, as a novelty, the voseo forms, used mainly in Río de la Plata, and the forms of respect usted and ustedes, the latter used also in the Canary Islands and other areas on a daily and informal basis. All the conjugations are accompanied by their morphological information, their defectivity, use notes, other verbs that are conjugated the same and, for the cases of the verbs with more than one conjugation, their meaning. • Santana, O.; Carreras, F.; Hernández, Z.; Pérez, J.; Rodríguez, G.
    Editorial ARCO/LIBROS, S.L.; ISBN: 84-7635-507-6. Madrid, 2002.
    Number of pages: 352.

This book aims to help the reader in the conjugation of any Spanish verb. The structure of the work makes it easy to find a verb and its corresponding conjugation model. 117 models are proposed that characterize, in great detail, all the variations of the verbal conjugation, including the graphic variations of all types, including the smallest ones, such as the changes of accentual accents. The 12 790 verbs considered collect the verbs in use (it is true that in some cases very reduced) of the main lexical sources of Spanish.

This book is divided into two parts: the conjugation models and the alphabetic relation of all the verbs. In each model attention is drawn to its peculiarities and the simple and composite times of the paradigm are shown. The list of verbs includes: their conjugation model, the grammatical category and the participles that do not follow the model.

Leaving aside the theoretical disquisitions, the component of the language in which new significants are "manufactured" for new meanings, becomes a crossroads between the morphology (derivative), syntax and phonology domains. All of them contribute in the process of forming the lexical units that will be integrated, once created, in the lexical component or lexicon. The creative potential that these morphological procedures have and their importance for maintaining the vitality of the language have been amply demonstrated in the various studies that have been carried out for this purpose, but never with such precision and vision of the future, in terms of their possible applications, as in the work that the Text & Information Processing (TIP) of the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria has been doing throughout these last years. In fact, the present study is the third of a set of works that the TIP has dedicated to the derivative morphology of Spanish. If in the previous two the prefixes and suffixes morphological relations were addressed, in the latter the object of study are the morphological procedures known as "parasynthesis", that is, those that allow the creation of a new lexical unit through the simultaneous incorporation of a prefix and a suffix to a lexical base or word already given.

  • Santana, O.; Carreras, F.; Pérez, J.
Editorial MILETO; ISBN: 84-95282-92-5. Madrid, 2005.
    Number of pages: 116.

This book is the result of the continuity of the research carried out by the TIP, in the field of derivative morphology. The relationships presented show, from the point of view of the treatment of natural language, the need to extend the mofoléxico study of the words of Spanish, first to the prefix relations, later, to the parasynthetic relations and, finally, to other less frequent Spanish word formation mechanisms. This book exposes a taxonomy of the prefixes framed in the derivative morphology (those that qualify the meaning of the base to which they are added, without contributing a strong semantic load to the final result) deduced from a corpus of 148 798 canonical forms. The morphological features associated with each prefix suitable for the processing of natural language are described --sometimes, they do not have to coincide with linguistic criteria in the strict sense. It details the meanings it provides, the established training rules, irregularities and exceptions.
